Bariatric Paths LLC ("Bariatric Paths," "we," "us") runs this website, bariatricpaths.com, along with the Bariatric Paths Podcast and community. Our mailing address is 8735 Dunwoody Place #6764, Atlanta, GA. You can reach us at info@bariatricpaths.com.
This policy explains what information we collect on this website, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
Information you give us
We only collect personal information when you choose to fill out a form. Our forms are:
- **Newsletter signup** on the Start Here page: first name, email, your stage on your weight loss path (optional), and the office that referred you (optional).
- **Partner kit request** on the For Providers page: name, role, practice, city and state, email, phone (optional), and your message.
- **Guest application** on the Be a Guest page: name, email, phone (optional), city and state (optional), guest type, credentials, website or social handle, your connection to weight loss, your story or topic, and any links you share.
- **Sponsor inquiry** on the Sponsor Us page: name, company, email, phone (optional), website, interests, budget range, timeline, and your message.
When you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.
Please don't send us medical records or private health details. Bariatric Paths is a support community, not a medical provider. We are not covered by HIPAA and we don't need your health information to support you.
Information collected automatically
Our web host, Hostinger, keeps standard server logs. These can include your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit, and the date and time of your visit. These logs are used to keep the site running and secure.
Our website does not set its own tracking or advertising cookies, and we do not currently use Google Analytics or advertising pixels on this site. If that changes, we will update this policy first.
Content from other companies
Some pages load content from other services. When they do, those services may receive your IP address and browser information under their own privacy policies:
- **Google Fonts**, for the fonts on our pages
- **YouTube**, for episode thumbnails and links
- **Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Threads, Bluesky, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and pod.link**, when you click a link to them

- To send you the newsletter you signed up for
- To reply to your request, application, or inquiry
- To send partner kits to doctor offices and care teams
- To review guest applications and plan episodes
- To understand which partner offices refer people to us, using the optional referral field
- To keep the website secure and working
We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent or trade our email list.
Where your information is stored
- **Form submissions** are emailed to our team inbox and saved in a private file on our web host that the public cannot access.
- **Newsletter subscribers** are stored in Hostinger Reach, the email tool we use to send our newsletter.
We share information only with the service providers that help us run Bariatric Paths, such as our web host and email tools, and only for that purpose. We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our community.
Emails and unsubscribing
Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email info@bariatricpaths.com and ask us to remove you.
How long we keep it
We keep your information only as long as we need it for the reason you gave it to us, or as long as the law requires. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what information we have about you
- Correct it
- Delete it
- Stop sending you emails

Security

Children
This website is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, email info@bariatricpaths.com and we will delete it.

Our site links to websites we don't control, including podcast apps, social media, sponsors, and outside health organizations. Their privacy policies apply when you visit them.
